Microsoft will be holding a press conference in just a few short minutes.  There have been no announcements of what the subject matter will be.  There were rumors of news about a project between Barnes & Noble and Microsoft, but that has already been shot down by the book retailer.  The front runner in the rumor mill is that Microsoft will be unveiling some Windows 8 Tablets.  I’ll update this post as it happens after the break.

7:03PM – Judging from the color theme it’s probably something Windows 8 related.  I expect an Oprah moment where everyone in the crowd has something under their seat.

6:56PM – Still waiting. I would love for this to be a press conference about the next gen gaming system personally.  It wouldn’t surprise me since an event like this after E3 would give them a whole lot more exposure.  Tablets are the rumored focus, but since B&N said they’re not a part of this you never know.

6:46PM – I’ll be relying on other websites like Engadget and Gizmodo for info since we didn’t get an invite and there is no stream.  From what they’re saying people are still waiting in line.
