Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Comic Impressions

Last week Marvel released the first issue of Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe.  If you’ve listened to the podcast, you know that I have recently gotten back into comics.  I always ignored them as a kid because I hated reading, but I appreciate comics (and reading) more now that I’m all grown up. I downloaded the first issue through Comixology on day one and I have to say, it’s pretty epic.  Today was the release of the second and it was just as good.  For those of you who don’t want spoilers and are Marvel fans, I highly suggest picking this up or downloading it.  So far the story is interesting, but in order to fully enjoy it you will need to not analyze things.  Impressions and spoilers (if you haven’t read it) after the break. The Avengers will feature movie based costumes in upcoming MMO

Marvel has been releasing character renders for its upcoming MMO Marvel  Heroes for some time now. Recently the company has stated that the core Avengers team will included alternate costumes based off of their film appearances.

Marvel Heroes is an action RPG featuring heroes from all over the Marvel universe for you to play as. In the game the main villain has been stated to be Doctor Doom up to his usual shenanigans with the cosmic cube. Though Doom is the primary antagonist it has been indicated that villains and story lines from not only the comics but animated series and films will be mined for content. The game will follow a free-to-play model with I assume micro-transactions but whether this will be a downloadable client or browser-based game is unknown at this time.

First Look at Marvel Heroes MMO Has Arrived

Today marks a special occasion.  We get a quick glimpse at the highly secretive world of Marvel Heroes.  Gazillion Games has been working on this for some time and surprisingly not a whole lot of info has made its way to the interwebs.  Today, they released a first look video including gameplay and some CGI.  It introduces us to the first main enemy…good ol Doctor Doom.  What’s that? You have the cosmic cube?  OMG everyone run!  It’s not a big in-depth look, but it’s enough to peak my interest.  Marvel Heroes is going to be a free to play MMO which will supposedly change MMO life.  Enjoy the above trailer and keep an eye out for more as it is released.
