Yesterday, Chris and I briefly talked about Tomb Raider during the podcast. Neither of us were huge fans of the previous Tomb Raider games, but the new direction and maturity of the franchise makes it hard to pass up. However, through all of the previews Laura always seems to get beat up! It’s very realistic, but I feel bad for all of that hurt. Enjoy the trailer above and check out our full E3 discussion here.
Episode 11 is now available as Jesse and M.C. Clap Yo Handz discuss so many things that were announced during E3 along with some details of the updated product line from Apple. There was so much to discuss somehow we managed to not bring up Halo 4! Some specific topics:
Before Call of Duty 4 came out, Medal of Honor was probably the most popular war game you could find. Yes, the Call of Duty war games were epic, but Medal of Honor was a HUGE franchise. Well, with E3, Medal of Honor is back in what looks to be a pretty epic adventure. The announcement trailer is above and we have some screen shots after the break. If you aren’t excited about this, I’m sorry. It looks like so much fun! Continue reading
Splinter Cell has always been an amazing franchise. The thought and detail into sneaking around and killing folks for the greater good is the franchises specialty. Today, I’m proud to bring you the official trailer of Splinter Cell: Blacklist. There are a lot of new features to this game including connect voice commands. You can say “Hey You” to distract patrols and more! Once we get more information we’ll post it, but for now, enjoy this video.
One of the few things I really enjoyed from the Xbox press conference was the announcement of a South Park game. South Park: The Stick of Truth is a unique RPG game which starts off with you as the new kid in town. From there the kids LARPing turns into a true battle of good vs evil. It looks amazing and I really can’t wait. Screen shots after the break and trailer above! Continue reading
I’ve only played a small portion of Pikmin, but I did enjoy what I saw. I have a soft spot for those lil guys. Yesterday, Nintendo announced Pikmin 3 and they have released a video for everyones viewing pleasure. The one thing that caught me off guard is that the Olimar is not in this game. Nintendo is keeping the details of that to themselves for now. The cool thing about this version of Pikmin is that the Wii U controller acts as a map overview giving you the ability to zoom into the actual game play and still understand what is going on. There are pictures of the game after the break. Continue reading
Yesterday I posted a “trailer” for the upcoming Halo 4. That trailer was gameplay footage. Today, I bring you the wonders of a gameplay multiplayer trailer to make your insides squee with joy. Halo 4 is coming on election day and it will distract you from voting. Enjoy!
Xbox SmartGlass is Microsofts connected screen solution that we’ve been hearing about for a while now. Bridging media content across all your Windows 8 devices this is more than just an Airplay clone. Continue reading
Dead Space 3 was hinted at last week and now we get a fresh look at the upcoming game. After the events of Dead Space 2, Isaac crash lands on planet Tau Volantis and learns that the planet could hold the key to the end of the necromorphs. This time, Isaac has the option of help through multi-player campaign which can be joined and exited at any time. Your partner in crime will be playing as Earthgov Sergeant John Carver. More details to come but Dead Space 3 will be available in Feb 2013. Enjoy the trailer above and some screen shots below.
Here is a demonstration from the E3 Sony press conference for a new release that might give Super Smash Bros a run for their money. All-Stars: Battle Royale is a fighting game based on gaining points by doing combos within a certain amount of time. It does have a lot of similarities to Nintendos Smash Bros, as you can see from the video. Each arena is from a different Playstation game, for the demonstration they are battling in the PS Classic, God of War. It’ll be available for PS Vita and Playstation 3. Some of the characters you can choose from include, Fat Princess, Parappa The Rappar, Sly Cooper, and Sweet Tooth. Think this is will be a flop or replace Nintendo’s version?
