New Halo 4 Images Make Cortana Look Sad

You may or may not know this about me, but Halo is one of my all time favorite game franchises.  Back in my industry days Microsoft even had me dress up as Master Chief for the release of Halo 3.  Yeah, Halo 2 was kind of a disappointment but it was still fun to play through.  Well, along with todays announcement of a Halo 4 Limited Edition, Microsoft released a few new snazzy screenshots of the campaign and multi-player.  Cortana really looks sad…I think she needs a virtual hug.  Check out the new screenshots in the gallery below.

Halo 4 Limited Edition Announced

Microsoft just announced a Limited Edition of Halo 4 which will run $99.  It seems that this focuses heavily around multi-player enhancement.  Here’s what it comes with:

  • War Games Map Pack:  There will be 3 map packs released over time after the games initial release.  You will be able to download these as they’re released at no extra cost.
  • Specializations:  Details about Specializations will be released at E3, but there will be an additional 6 specializations that Limited Edition owners will have access to from day one before everyone else.
  • UNSC Infinity Briefing Pack:  This includes a Spartan Armor Customization Schematic, Weapon information, introduction to the ship Infinity, and details about being a Spartan.
  • Forward Unto Dawn Special Edition:  A 90 minute extended cut version of the live action mini-series.
  • Bonus Content: Includes a unique in-game armor skin, unique weapon skin, exclusive in-game emblem, avatar prop, and avatar Spartan armor.

That’s a lot of stuff for the extra cash, but if you’re not a huge multi-player person it may not be best for you.

Halo 4 Release Date Will Dominate Over Presidential Election

Gamers are probably going to be a little too busy to vote this year.  It was just confirmed that Halo 4 is going to be released on November 6th 2012.  This is the first game in the new trilogy which has no affiliation with Bungie.  Hopefully, this will be showcased at E3 in June.  I can’t wait to see more of this.
