Here is a demonstration from the E3 Sony press conference for a new release that might give Super Smash Bros a run for their money. All-Stars: Battle Royale is a fighting game based on gaining points by doing combos within a certain amount of time. It does have a lot of similarities to Nintendos Smash Bros, as you can see from the video. Each arena is from a different Playstation game, for the demonstration they are battling in the PS Classic, God of War. It’ll be available for PS Vita and Playstation 3. Some of the characters you can choose from include, Fat Princess, Parappa The Rappar, Sly Cooper, and Sweet Tooth. Think this is will be a flop or replace Nintendo’s version?

E3 Beyond: Two Souls Trailer
Quantic Dream excitedly announces their latest project Beyond: Two Souls at tonight’s Sony press conference. Beyond is a psychological action thriller about a girl who feels a connection between our world and the other side. This beautiful and amazingly story driven game tells the story of Jodi Holmes over the time span of 15 years. Sony was proud to announced the voice of Jodi being none other then academy award winner Ellen Page, as you notice from the trailer the main character also resembles Ellen. Through the actions and decisions you choose will give you the gamer the power to determine her fate. The preview shows Jodi unable to talk, remotely checked out being interigated by the police. After noticing a scar on the back of her head oddly a coffee cup thrusts itself to break on impact against a wall. Jodi then appears to be talking to someone who isn’t there confirming the swat team forcing their way into the station looking for her. As all of you know Heavy Rain was phenomenal and I don’t have any doubts this will be just as good… if not better.
Bethesda Releases Dishonored debut Trailer
Bethesda has released the first cinematic trailer for Arkane Studios upcoming game Dishonored. Gameplay looks equal parts Assassin Creed, Batman: Arkham City, and BioShock, and has you playing the role of a bodyguard turned assassin wrongly accused of murdering his charge the Empress.
The game world has the look of a dystopian future with many elements lending to a look of an early industrial age though obviously still inundated with technology. If the art style looks familiar to you it’s because the game world was the brain child of Half Life 2 art director Viktor Antonov. The blend of science, magic, and stealth should lead to some very interesting gameplay choices. I try not to get overly excited by cg sans gameplay, but Dishonored is definitely now on my radar. Hear more from Bethesda past the break.

Resident Evil 6 Early Release
All I have to say is, thank you Capcom. Looks as if they feel mercy upon us, letting the torturous wait be shorted to an early release date of October 2, 2012. It’s only April, I’m not counting the days…yet.
Luckily we won’t have to even wait for October to get a peek at what’s to come as Chris and Leon fight back a global outbreak. The demo will be released on Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network on September 5, 2012. It seems being part of the Microsoft fan club you’ll get an opportunity of accessing the demo 60 days early, which will be included in the with the Xbox 360 version of Dragon’s Dogma. You’ll be able to play the demo a few months from now, to be more specific July 3, 2012.
Final Fantasy X is Getting Remastered
Last year Square Enix announced the remake for their wildly successful Final Fantasy X, which first appeared on the Playstation 2. The re-release will signify the games tenth year anniversary.
Final Fantasy X was the first Final Fantasy game to replace the active time battle (ATB) with a new turn-based system, feature voice acting, introduce a new leveling system, and the first in the series to have a direct sequel with dancing pop stars (oh la la!) due to its popularity.
Other than clearing up a rumor about the game being a remake, no new information has been reported since the announcement last September during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference. Turns out it’s going to be remastered in HD, leaving people in question of a future release date. The remaster will be available for PS Vita and Playstation 3.
Like other Square Enix games I will be anxiously awaiting more information. Hopefully this post will indulge you for the time being.
