It took me a long time to really dive into the Mass Effect games. To be honest, I played through one and two shortly before three came out and I loved every second of it. I may have been one of the few people to accept the ending(s) of Mass Effect 3 despite a few lingering questions. However, you have answered the mass amount of fans who were not happy with the ending(s) you provided and have graced us with updated content to give us fans closure. This is what I have to say. A couple of days ago Capcom announced that the wonderful game Okami would be coming to PSN. Last night, Annette shared the trailer for everyones viewing pleasure. Today, I’m proud to bring you a bunch of screenshots Capcom was nice enough to share. Enjoy!
One of the most beautiful, heart warming games I have luckily gotten the chance to play is coming to PSN, November 1st, 2012. Surprisingly, this game falls into the category of a cult classic due to poor sales. Why such low sales? Okami is rated 9 out of 10 on IGN. Could it be because the theme wasn’t surrounded by zombies or post apocalyptic survival? Perhaps, the style of the game was not mainstream enough with all of those regurgitated fps high ranked titles? Regardless the reasoning why this diamond in the rough hasn’t fully obtained the recognition I feel it deserves you can finally get a chance to experience Okami in HD. Mind you this is a Playstation exclusive! Be sure to have the PS Move since that is the only way to be able to control the celestial brush.
Can I just take a second and gush over how visually appealing this game is? The animated ink illustration, with watercolor and wood cut style environment. It really is nothing like any other game out on the market. So why isn’t Okami raising the bar for Capcoms competitors? With such a unique look, battle system, beautifully composed soundtrack and one of my favorite stories you would be absolutely crazy not to give this game a try.
Before Call of Duty 4 came out, Medal of Honor was probably the most popular war game you could find. Yes, the Call of Duty war games were epic, but Medal of Honor was a HUGE franchise. Well, with E3, Medal of Honor is back in what looks to be a pretty epic adventure. The announcement trailer is above and we have some screen shots after the break. If you aren’t excited about this, I’m sorry. It looks like so much fun! Continue reading →
Quantic Dream excitedly announces their latest project Beyond: Two Souls at tonight’s Sony press conference. Beyond is a psychological action thriller about a girl who feels a connection between our world and the other side. This beautiful and amazingly story driven game tells the story of Jodi Holmes over the time span of 15 years. Sony was proud to announced the voice of Jodi being none other then academy award winner Ellen Page, as you notice from the trailer the main character also resembles Ellen. Through the actions and decisions you choose will give you the gamer the power to determine her fate. The preview shows Jodi unable to talk, remotely checked out being interigated by the police. After noticing a scar on the back of her head oddly a coffee cup thrusts itself to break on impact against a wall. Jodi then appears to be talking to someone who isn’t there confirming the swat team forcing their way into the station looking for her. As all of you know Heavy Rain was phenomenal and I don’t have any doubts this will be just as good… if not better.
Capcom is so giving today with E3 starting tomorrow. Above is a new trailer for the awesome looking Lost Planet 3 and below the break are some screenshots. This Lost Planet game reveals more information about E.D.N. III and introduces the new character of Jim Peyton. It revolves around NEVEC’s existing Thermal Energy reserve running low and trying to use E.D.N. III as a new source. Again, screenshots are after the break.
The E3 trailer for DmC: Devil May Cry has been released and it has me just as excited as the last video they released. Along with the new trailer, we have some wonderful screenshots. This installment of Devil May Cry takes a look at a young Dante during his, “I don’t give a shit” years and introduces a group known as “The Order”. It will be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 on January 15th, 2013 with a PC version coming whenever. Images and the trailer are after the break. Continue reading →
Game companies know how to take my money…by offering an amazing collector’s set like Borderlands 2 and this new Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector’s Set. I have always loved the Street Fighter Franchise. I’ve enjoyed the games, the anime shows/movies, some of the comics, and even the live action movies no matter how bad they were. The announcement of this set and the stuff inside have me all sorts of excited. The set will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 18th, 2012 and will cost $149.99. Here is the awesomeness that comes inside the pretty snazzy box:

Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition with all costume DLC
Street Fighter X Tekken with all character and swap costume DLC
An awesome 8″ tall light-up Ryu statue performing the Shoryuken

11 discs of Street fighter music from games, remixes, and fan music.

I can’t wait for this! Here are a few more pictures.
I’ve been pretty excited for the new DmC Devil May Cry game since seeing the newer trailer. It looks like a nice change from the standard Devil May Cry games and incorporates real life instead of segregated areas with absolutely no people. Well, last night Capcom announced that it is scheduled for release on January 15th, 2013. Along with the release date they introduced a new character named Kat. Official description of Kat and some more pictures after the break. Continue reading →
